Valandovo Folk Festival
The Valandovo Folk Festival (Folk Fest Valandovo) is one of the most important cultural events in North Macedonia, held every May since 1985. Dedicated to promoting Macedonian folk music, it gathers singers, songwriters, and visitors from across the country and abroad. The festival is hosted in a special hall in Valandovo and is broadcast nationally, making it a symbol of tradition, culture, and music that connects generations.
What makes the Valandovo Folk Festival unique is its role as a songwriting competition. Each year, composers and lyricists submit new Macedonian folk songs, which are then performed live on stage by well-known singers as well as rising talents. Isar Marvinci
Isar Marvinci is one of the most important archaeological sites in Southeastern North Macedonia, located near the village of Marvinci in the Municipality of Valandovo. Josifovsko Leto is a traditional summer festival held annually in the village of Josifovo, Valandovo Municipality. The event features a variety of sports competitions, including small football, table tennis, and other games, attracting both locals and visitors from the surrounding region.In addition to sports, the festival offers cultural and entertainment activities, such as concerts by local artists, traditional games, and programs for children and adults. Held during the summer months, Josifovsko Leto promotes community spirit, healthy living, and the preservation of local traditions, making it a lively and much-anticipated event in the region.
