Economy
Agriculture is a major part of local economy: early vegetables, fruit, viticulture, especially figs, pomegranates, and “Japanese apple” are noted. There are also food‐processing plants, dairy production (“Dairy Vardarec” in Udovo), greenhouses.Textile industry has seen growth in recent years.
